The first distribution and
manufacturing facility away from Birmingham opened in 1969 in the Los
Angeles, California area, thus beginning the development of AMICO's network
of distribution centers and manufacturing facilities.
AMICO continued to expand its product base with the addition of Bar Grating in 1976 and entered into the international market with all products in 1979. In 1982 AMICO developed another product called Stay-FormŽ used in the concrete forming industry.
